Electronic Invoice Monitoring

Effectively reconciling accounting processes between customers and suppliers

What is Electronic Invoice Monitoring

PwC’s Electronic Invoice Monitoring supports the accounting reconciliation processes, carried out by the administrative functions of customer and suppliers, in the context of electronic invoicing. This solution aims to identify any differences between what is present in the active and passive invoicing management systems of our clients and what is present in the tax drawer of the Inland Revenue. It also makes use of a Robotic Process Automation component to automate the process of loading the data necessary for reconciliation, minimising the manual activities of the administrative staff.

Identifying and addressing bottlenecks in the reconciliation process

The coming into force of the compulsory Electronic Invoicing has changed the accounting processes between customers and suppliers, introducing an independent third party, the Revenue Agency's Interchange System ("SDI"), and a new application software supported through providers enabled to exchange data with the SDI.

The right solution for your business?

This solution will assist all companies that since January 1, 2019 have carried out Business to Business transactions between taxable persons resident, established or identified in Italy and that are therefore subject to the obligation of electronic invoicing and especially to all companies that set up internal processes of manual reconciliations.

Features and Benefits

  • Reconciliation rules and the mapping of anomalies are completed by analysing the cases that emerged from the use of the tool by different customers.
Minimization of disputes
  • Reduction of the number of disputes arising from non-payment due to the non-receipt of an invoice.
Versatility and integration
  • Integration with third-party systems through a standard path or through software robots.
Efficiency and automation
  • The data upload process is fully automated, resulting in a reduction of time-consuming insertion activities by the administrative area.
